First rehome of 2024 leaves New House Farm

Bargain Basement left the yard for the final time this week and headed to their forever homes as part of our successful rehoming programme.

Three-year-old Bargain Basement ran on the flat as a juvenile but we've called time on his career as he doesn't have the speed to be a winner. He heads north to his new home near Sedgefield with Ashlyn. He'll live like a lord and already had a whole new section of the tack room set aside before he left New House Farm.

A beautifully natured young horse, we know that 'B.B.' will thrive off the track.

Ashlyn messaged us the day after taking B.B. home to tell us how well he'd settled in.

"In the school he really started to relax, saddle fitter is coming on Wednesday but he's just super," says Ashlyn. "He's not fussed by food but loves people. I'm honestly so lucky to get a horse like him. I'm so excited to transform him into an event horse. He's got a lot of schooling and a lot of maturing but the potential he has. I'm over the moon."
