Beauty Choice runs for the Barnsley-based Silkstone United Racing Partnership and we're all delighted to have trained a winner for them on a local track! Returned at odds of 13/2 Beauty Choice came home half a length ahead of favourite Onemorenomore, to whom he was conceding four pounds in the handicap. "Everything went right today," said winning rider Joanna Mason after the race. "They went a good pace and he stayed on strongly. Ideally I'd have liked to have gone through the horses really but with a strong pace there would be horses coming back and I wanted a clear passage." "He's won nicely on the back of two consistent runs. He'll go into the winter in good form. He goes well on the all weather and there should be more to come." |

Joanna Mason was riding her 16th winner of the season for grandad Mick and Uncle David, and is back to winning ways after missing a large part of the summer due to a gallops injury. She rode her comeback winner for the yard on Reach at York's Ebor Festival and has since piloted Spirit Of Acklam, Where's Jeff and Yorkstone to victory. Today's winner was Joanna's 27th of the season. She's in sparkling form right now and has some good rides to look forward to later this week. |
