Ladies First was a beautifully bred mare, a younger full sister to our multiple winning sprinter Hoof It and multiple Group winner Ladies Are Forever. She was also a full sister to eight times winner Forever's Girl and multiple winners Chosen Forever and Bop It. Ladies First ran consistently as a three year old before winning for the first time at the age of four at Carlisle. She won again in September 2018 at York where she was first home over seven furlongs for apprentice Scott McCullagh. In 2019 she was a winner again at York when she gave Nathan Evans his 100th winner for the yard. Ladies First retired from racing in 2019 and was destined for the paddocks. However, in December 2019 she died after suffering a neurological seizure at Yapham Mill Stud. |
