Many of you will remember Shadows Lengthen who raced for us for ten seasons from 2008 and 2017.
Shadows won 13 races and will be best remembered for a five-timer in 2009 on the all weather. he went on to jumpt hurdles and later fences, his biggest win coming in 2014 when he won the Listed 'bet365 Handicap Chase' at Wetherby.
Retired by owner Tom Frost in 2017, he is now looked after by Melissa Williams.
Melissa sent us these lovely pictures of Shadows Lengthen, now aged 17, on the Retraining Of Racehorses Challenge yesterday. He's loving life after racing.
"He's such a cracking horse, thank you," says Melissa. "He's just amazing".
