Reach wins for Joanna Mason at York

Reach continued her fabulous season by taking the 'Assured Data Protection EBF Fillies' Handicap' at York this afternoon. She won the race with ease and was good value for the offical winning distance of a neck after a masterful hands and heels ride from Joanna Mason.

The five-year-old mare was recording her third win of the season and gave Joanna her first York winner for Mick & David.

Reach was purchased from the December Mares Sale at Newmarket in 2021 after being deemed surplus to Godolphin's requirements and she's paid back her purchase price many times over.

Today's winning prizemoney of over £50,000 took her career earnings to over £80,000 and she's now won four of her ten starts.

Owner Maxwell Morrison is a true racing fan and regularly visits his horses with treats and no doubt Reach will be receiving a bag of carrots tomorrow morning!
